I tried a philosophy group today and was surprised by how I felt about it. While being philosophical I noticed that one person was making a feeling statement which he wanted everyone to respond to because he had some kind of insecurity to deal with and was using the philosophy group to help him deal with his own personal problem. He was the person who was the assumed leader of the group so he also had the power to push this agenda. Once he got up the whole thing kinda fell apart as he was what was really generating the energy and momentum for things. Most of the other comments were sort of shadow comments to this man's desire to be right about something.
